Best finish on LETAS
Excited to share with you all that I had my best finish on LETAS ever this past week in Västerås after finishing T7, and as the second best professional in the event. I led the event after firing a -3 (69) the first round and had a great group of followers tagging along my group for the second day. it is always exciting having people coming out to watch and cheering me on. I played very consistent and solid golf even the second day but had some unfortunate breaks, one where my ball got stuck in a tree, and lost a few strokes without making some big mistakes. I finished the round at +2 (74) and was 3rd going into the final day. I played in the final group which meant having people following us the entire day, despite the crazy weather. I started off well and was -2 through 4 holes and remained -2 until the 8th hole where play got suspended due to a lightning storm. We had a break for a little over an hour and then resumed play in the pouring rain. The course condition was extremely different than before and they had people by every green wiping off the water “pools.” On a par 5 that I had almost reached the past 2 days, I was now hitting 6 iron’s into the greens on the 3rd shot. I had a sequence of really tough holes on the back nine but came back the last few holes to finish at +2 (74) and finish T2 as a pro, 7th for the event. Excited to get going again this week in Uppsala for the Swedish Match Play Championship, a tournament that is a cooperation between LETAS and the Nordic Golf Tour.
