Camp Sweden
I spent a week together with the Swedish Golf Team and the Swedish Olympic Committee in Scottsdale for a camp with the so-called Olympic Team. The camp was for us players to gather and learn from one another, create a plan moving forward this season, and learn from our performance team that consists of a swing coach, a mental coach, strength trainer, and putting expert. The Swedish Olympic Committee was also there to educate us on how to handle media and what the Olympic Games are all about. We start prepping for the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games now so we can be at our best once the Olympics come around.
We played 18 holes every day at Troon North in Scottsdale and had packed days from 7am-8pm. It was so much fun paying with other Swedish pro-golfers and major winners like Pernilla Lindberg and Anna Nordqvist. I also got to play a bunch with my idol growing up, Linnea Ström, and she is even a better person than I always envisioned. Really cool to see! I look forward to spend this year around these incredible people and golfers, it sure will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Now I’m heading out to California for some off-season work; work on my swing, technique, workouts and build up strength and speed, and spend some time with family. I will also do lots of work outside of golf and get my visa done, work on sponsorships and get everything ready for the season so once we hit March, I can solely focus on playing golf. I am thankful that I get an off season this year, I think I truly need it to catch my breath a little after everything that has changed in my life in recent months. Even though it’s fantastic and a position I could only dream of being in, I have barely had time to let it truly sink in, and I am happy this time can serve as that as well.
For all my California friends and fans, I hope to see you out on the golf course. I will play two events in Los Angeles in April/May and would love to see as many of you there as possible. How cool to experience my first few rounds on tour together?! Check out my tournament schedule to start planning ahead! You can find it here.
